She laid awake in her bed, not for the fact she couldn't sleep but with the fact she had a secret she was hiding from her family and friends. Tears spilled out of her eyes and down her cheeks as the teen girl covered her mouth to hide her sobs. Just then there was a soft knock on her bed room door and the door opened "Mayme? I had a nightmare." Said a young and soft voice of her little brother Eric. Macie turned and looked at her brother with a smile as she turned on her lamp that was on her night stand and sat up, she patted the area on her bed that was next to her, the small boy ran over and jumped into the bed next to his older sister. She softly laughed as she wrapped her arms around her little brother and smiled "So was it Discord or that creepy Nutcracker in the meat store." Macie asked looking at her young brother as he buried his face in her side and muttered "Both." "Oh hell!" Macie said as she tried not to laugh at her bothers fears, she smiled and sighed "Okay, Butt munch, you can sleep in here tonight." The teen said with a smile as she reached over and turned the lamp off then laid down with the young boy still in her arms. He smiled and snuggled close to his sister then fell asleep. The next morning the house was rather chaotic, both parents had to get up and ready for work and get there children ready for school as well. Only this morning Macie woke up puking, her mother wanted her to stay home in case her sickness got worst yet the teen refused to mess up her perfect records of school not missed. Before her mother could get her father to help keep her home Macie and Eric where out the door and running to the bus stop, Eric with a pop tart in his mouth and Macie with toast in hers. Once at the bus stop the brother and sister duo where greeted by there five friends, Kyle, Stan, Kenny, Cartman, and Thalia "Damn you two are late!" Stan said looking at them Macie looked up at him as she took a bite of her toast "Sorry, mom thought I had a fever and wanted to keep me home." She said as she shoved the whole piece of toast in her mouth "Easy, May no ones gonna take your toast." Kenny said looking at his girlfriend with a smile "She was throwing up this morning and mom wanted her to miss and she would have let her!!! Even if she didn't mom would have made her!!" Eric said biting his pop tart "Holy crap May you sure your okay?" Thalia asked her friend looking at her "I'm find damn it! It must have been what we had for dinner last night and it upset my stomach that's all!" The teen nearly shouted at her friends "Oh and why where you crying last night?" Eric asked looking up at his big sister with his eyes full of wonder. The teen glanced at her friends and waited for cartman to say one of his stupid jokes "Don't worry bout fat ass Mayme. We made a bet that he couldn't say a damn thing for the whole day and if he made it then he would get 50 bucks." Thalia said with a smirk looking at the round boy "Fat ass I know you can't do it!!" She said making a face at him. All cartman could do was flip her off and look the other way, this caused the group to laugh and snicker. Once at school the day was normal, it was better without cartmans mouth running and insulting the others. While in there 3rd class Macie was called to the office, everyone looked at her then at each other and started whispering, Macie was a good kid and they couldn't figure out what she would be called to the office to. Other that going home or getting a prize for being at school everyday, once at the office Macie was surprised to see Eric in the office "Butt munch, what'd you do?" She asked walking over to him "Nothing. I'm just as confused as you, Macie." He said looking at his older sister then a staff member walked over to them "Eric, Macie, your parents called they said your wanted to go home and they'll be here soon to get you." She said looking at them "Mam, I'm not being rude or anything, but I'm not going home and letting this count on my perfect record." Macie said "I mean if they're going anywhere then I can watch my brother. I have a house key and I can cook for him as well." Macie said with a smile then turned to walk out the door "Your mother said you where sick this morning and wanted you to stay home." The staff member said looking at her. Macie turned and looked at her "My mother over reacts sometimes, it was just what we had for supper and it didn't settle well for me. Trust me I'm fine." And with that being said she quickly left and headed back to her class. At lunch the group was asking her why she was called to the office "Mother wanted me and Eric to go home." Macie said looking at them "Over something so simple." "Cuz you where sick this morning?" Butter asked looking at his friend "Yes!! I mean it's just an upset stomach, so what? It's not like it's gone kill me!!" Macie said as she took a deep breath then looked at cartman who looked like he could burst out saying all the rude and mean comments he's been saving up, Macie smirked "Waz the matter Fat ass? Wanna say something mean and rather rude about me being sick or the fact that your big boned and not fat?" She said with a mean chuckle. Cartman slammed his hands on the table, lowered his head and screamed a muffled scream. Macie laughed "Thalia, I'll chip in if we rise it to 100 bucks if he can keep quiet till tomorrow!! It's funny seeing him like this!!" Macie said laughing. Cartman quickly looked up at the blue hatted girl and quickly shook his head no "What's that? You don't wanna be quiet till tomorrow? Aww to bad fatty cuz you are." Macie said with a mean smirk "May, are you sure your okay? Sure we play around with Cartman but your being flat out mean." Kyle said looking at Macie, who let her head drop on the table "I don't know anymore!!" She said putting her hands on the back her head. Kenny looked at her and rubbed her back "Is it that time?" Thalia asked looking at Macie "Fuck no!! If it was then I wouldn't be that mean!!" Macie said, her head still low. "I'm sure you'll be fine after a while." Kenny said kissing her hands and smiled. Macie smiled and looked up at them "Sorry, cartman. Yet you still gotta stay quiet." She said with a giggle then started to eat lunch. Just then Macies dad came into the cafeteria, only he was in a t-shirt and jeans and not his normal suit. Macie nearly chocked on her food at the sight "D-Dad!?" She choked out as Kenny patted her back. He looked at her and smiled "A surprise hm? Mayme please come home, I know you don't wanna mess up your school record but if you miss you, me, mom, and Eric can go and have fun." He said with a smile. Macie only looked at him as if thinking of what to do. She never gets to spend time with her parents since there always at work, tears filled her eyes as she got up and ran over to her dad hugging him tightly. He smiled then looked at the group "I guess we'll see you guys later." He smiled then walked out of the cafeteria with Macie. Later that day Thalia, Kenny, Kyle, Stan, and a silent Cartman walked to Macies house, or what looked like her home. Since it was October and around Halloween Macie and her parents and Eric fixed up the house to make it look like a haunted house "Wow. Who took Mays house and switched it with this one!?" Kyle said looking at the others. Just then a little hunchback Eric walked out of the house and over to the others "Welcome to the house of frights!" He said trying to sound like the Hunchback from The Nightmare Before Christmas, he smiled "Please come in and make yourself dead I-I mean cozy!" He said with a laughed then walked back into the house. The others looked at each other and smiled as they walked in side and looked around. The house on the inside was changed all around too! The coffee table was now a coffin along with the couch, it's seat was shaped like a coffin, there was a green glow in every room the one in the kitchen was flickering. Then a snitch like cackle was herd from the kitchen as Macies mom walked of the kitchen looking like a witch, long nose warts and all. "Welcome my pretties to the house of fright." She said with a soft cackle "Would any of you care for some." She walked over to the coffin table that had a serving plate with a cover on it, hiding what was ever on the plate. Eric walked over and took the cover off reveling a bloody head that belonged to there Neko "Daughter surprise!" Macies mom said with an evil cackle. The others screamed Macie opened her eyes and laughed "Oh my god that was priceless!!!" She said as she crawled out from under the coffin table and laughed "Kyle I though you where gonna piss yourself!!!" Macie said holding her side laughing "You ass! I thought you where really gone!!" Kenny said as he walked over and wrapped his arms around her laughing Macie continued to laugh and giggle "Good evening children!" The others quickly turned to see Macie's dad who was a vampire with fake blood running down his chin "Would any of you like some eyeballs?" He said and moved his cape to revealable a plate full of eyes "No thank you!!" Kyle said covering his mouth Macies dad laughed "Easy Kyle there only toys." He said with a laugh "Dude this place is so cool!!" Thalia said with a wide smile then went to explore the rest of the home that was decked out in Halloween props and tricks. After a while of hanging out the others went home to get some things done. Thalia, on the other hand, wanted to call Macie and ask her about how she was able to get all the props and how she did that coffin head trick "Well my dad knew a dude that could get the coffin table and couch. The rest of the stuff was from the Halloween store." Macie said with a smile "How'd you do that coffin trick!? That was so cool and bad ass!" Thalia said Macie smiled "I hid under the coffin. There's a spot to stick your head cuz the table was made like that!!" Macie said with a giggle. Thalia smiled and laughed "Hey....Thalia..c-can I tell you something..?" Macie said with worry. Thalia sat up I her bed "Macie what's up is everything okay!?" She said "Thalia please promise me you won't get mad! And that you won't go and hurt Kenny after I tell you.." Thalia got a mad look "Macie if he hurt you you better tell me!! And I not holding back if he-" "I'm pregnant!" Macie said cutting of her friend, the line was silent. Tears ran down Macies cheeks "T-Thalia..?" Macie said her voice slightly shaky "Macie. I'm going to have to call you b-" "Don't tell!! Please don't!! I-I was gonna tell everyone on Halloween..please don't tell!!" Macie begged and pleaded with her friend. Thalia sighed "How long have you know this?" She said pinching the brim of her nose "A-A week..Thalia I'm so sorry I didn't tell you earlier but please don't hate me!! I've seen those shows where a girl tells her friends she pregnant and they never talk to her again and call her a slut and e-" "Stop it! You know your my best friend till death and I would never abandon a Neko like that!" Thalia said with a smile. Macie smiled and softly sobbed "Don't tell anyone!! Please I want it to be a surprise!!" Macie said with a weak smile. Thalia laughed "I won't tell anyone I promise!" She said with a smile. Time flew very fast and soon Halloween came around. The boys, every year, had a theme and this year was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Thalia was Moa-Metal from the band BABYMETAL. Macie was taking a big risk but she took her hat off and was going as a school girl Neko, if anyone would ask she would just say that she knew her way with make up and that they where props. After they took Eric and Ike Trick or treating they went back to Macies to watch some classic horror movies and some of the new ones too. After a while Macie and Thalia looked at each other, Thalia gave Macie a look as if staying it's time to tell them. Macie softly sighed, she stood up and called her parents into the living room. She took a shaky breath then told them she kept her eyes shut tightly and waited for something to happen. She felt there gazes on her then they left, she could tell there gazes where on Kenny now. She slowly opens her eyes to see that non of them where mad or anything "Yeah, I broke the promise and told them.." Thalia said with a smile "Couldn't have my bestie go through something like that." Thalia said with a smile. Macie smiled weakly tears of joy running down her cheeks. Kenny walked over to her with a smile her hugged her tightly.

I'm practically in tears as I read this. I have met many a writer, but you, deary, are among the best thus far. Maybe 'tis because I am a South Park fan, or 'tis about the heroine's story, but I find this story very intriguing. Once again, you are an awesome author.
